Our 3 Automotive Fitment Solutions

1. Website fitment solutions for cars & motorbikes

Finding the right part for a specific vehicle is a daunting task for the average motorist since they won’t have parts interpreting experience, and are unlikely to know the product code or specifications of the exact part they need. Implementing a part finder on your ecommerce-enabled website makes a world of difference if it’s done right.

  • Make finding the correct parts easier for your customers
  • Improve your online customer experience
  • Increase customer confidence to purchase
  • Reduce the need for human intervention
  • Reduce returns due to incorrect part orders
  • Provide intuitive pathways to the right products

Unless you have been given properly structured fitment data by your supplier/s for all the products you stock, you will need to manually associate them to the vehicles they are compatible with.

Creating an effective part finder requires three essential steps:

  1. Find or create a list of every vehicle your entire product range is compatible with.  ZELLIS Auto is powered by Redbook for the most comprehensive and accurate database of every vehicle and motorcycle model that was ever in Australia.  Redbook data is updated continuously to ensure it is always up to date.  Redbook data is the most driver-friendly data available in Australia, and is used widely across the insurance and automotive industries.
  2. Tag each product to all of the vehicles it is compatible with.  Our platform makes this usually tedious and slow task a breeze.
  3. Create the part finder functionality on the front-end of your ecommerce webstore so that only compatible products will be displayed when the customer selects their specific vehicle.

USE YOUR OWN DATA
If you have created your own model list or are licensed to use a read-made list from another vehicle data provider, our custom website product tagging solution allows you complete step 2 above quickly and reliably for a low fixed monthly fee, and our developer team can deploy a part finder and other fitment functions on your website.  Using either your own or another provider’s vehicle list in our custom fitment tagging solution is safe and secure.  We don’t retain or use third party vehicle lists, and nobody else will have access to it.  You’ll only need access to our system for the time it takes to tag your products.

2. Vehicle parts fitment for eBay

eBay is currently the only marketplace in Australia with automotive fitment in place.  This makes it a lot easier for buyers to be confident they are choosing from parts that are guaranteed to fit their selected vehicle.  This dramatically increases buyer confidence to purchase and also means less chance of returns due to ordering the wrong part.

Approximately 1 on 12 vehicles on Australian roads are already recorded by buyers in eBay Garage.  That’s over 1.5 million vehicles!

Once a buyer has entered their vehicle, eBay will only show them products that are compatible with it.  Products that do not have eBay fitment applied to them will then not appear in search results.  Without fitment applied to your eBay listings, you can expect to sell 30% to 60% less than your competitors who have implemented fitment.  Essentially you’re a little nuts if you don’t implement eBay fitment.

  • Increase eBay search impressions and clicks
  • Make finding the correct parts easier for eBay buyers
  • Increase buyer confidence to purchase higher value items
  • Reduce returns due to incorrect part orders
  • Achieve higher sales than competitors who have not implemented eBay fitment

Fitment implemented directly on eBay cannot be exported, so if your listings are ended, the fitment is lost.  To ensure that any fitment work you do is retained, our eBay Vehicle Fitment console is integrated with Australia’s only unified commerce solutions ZELLIS Connect and Neto for the fastest possible deployment and data backup.

We will configure your ZELLIS Connect or Neto integration as part of setup and provide you with full training on how to not only implement fitment using our eBay fitment console, but also how to publish the fitment to eBay.

3. Motorcycle parts fitment for eBay

eBay launched motorcycle fitment in early 2020.  If you sell motorcycle parts on eBay, you should be implementing fitment as soon as possible to take an early-mover advantage.  eBay will be activating the search experience for motorbike fitment soon.

Fitment makes it a lot easier for buyers to be confident they are choosing from parts that are guaranteed to fit their selected bike.  This dramatically increases buyer confidence to purchase and also means less chance of returns due to ordering the wrong part.

Once a buyer has selected their specific bike, eBay will only show them products that are compatible with it.  Products that do not have eBay fitment applied to them will then not appear in search results.  Listings with accurate fitment applied typically sell substantially more than listings without it.  Selected motorcycles are conveniently saved to the buyer’s account for instant recall when looking for parts in future.
